A headspa is a luxurious, Japanese-inspired scalp facial designed to support scalp health and relaxation for the mind and body. My headspa offerings blend customized scalp treatments, massage, steam, aromatherapy to help release tension. Each session is one-on-one and tailored to your unique needs. It’s part beauty ritual, part self-care, and part nervous-system reset.
Yes. Many of my clients are first-time headspa guests.
You don’t need to have scalp issues to benefit. Headspas are supportive for overall scalp health or if you’re feeling stressed, or overwhelmed, postpartum, depleted, grief, or are simply craving deep rest and care. If you’re unsure which level to choose, Level 1 is a wonderful place to start.
My offerings are best suited for clients who value intentional care, nervous-system support, and holistic beauty rituals.
Clients often come to me seeking:
Deep relaxation and stress relief
Scalp health support
Postpartum, perimenopause or emotional nourishment
A calm, private experience
Beauty services that feel grounding and restorative
Yes! I offer curated Beauty Bundles for clients who want longer, more immersive experiences delivered across a series of sessions.

What to Expect at Your Visit
Your session begins with a brief consultation and live video scalp analysis to assess your scalp and hair needs. From there, I customize your experience to your individual needs: scalp exfoliation, massage, aromatherapy, warm steam, a hair waterfall bath, and quiet integration time. Each session flows intuitively and is adjusted based on your comfort and needs.
Level 2 includes additional energetic and sensory modalities such as acupressure, Reiki, tuning forks, and sound therapy.
Please arrive with dry hair and minimal styling products if possible. You do not need to wash your hair beforehand. Wear comfortable clothing and allow yourself time to arrive without rushing — your nervous system will thank you.
Your hair will be washed during the headspa treatment and will be damp afterward.
You may add a blowout if you’d like to leave with styled, dry hair.
Both. Headspa sessions are deeply calming while also supporting scalp health, circulation, and nervous system regulation. You are welcome to fall asleep or connect with me as little or as much as feels comfortable.
Haircuts & Add-ons
Yes. Optional add-ons such as blowouts, Reiki, Ayurvedic scalp and facial massage, and herbal Thai poultice treatments are available with headspa services or haircuts.
Add-ons can be selected at booking or discussed before your session if time allows.
Booking add-ons in advance is recommended to ensure enough time is reserved.
Many clients choose to return every two to three months as part of their seasonal self-care and nervous-system maintenance, while others benefit from higher levels of support. You are always welcome to listen to your body and book when it feels right.
Health | Scalp Care & Safety
My headspa services are informed by education in scalp health and trichology-based principles. Trichology is the scientific study of the hair and scalp, originating from the Greek word trichos (hair). It focuses on bridging the gap between hairdressing and dermatology to address hair loss, hair shaft damage, and scalp skin health. While these treatments are not medical and do not replace care from a licensed healthcare provider, they are designed to support overall scalp wellness and comfort.
Clients often find headspa treatments supportive for:
Deep rest and relaxation in an environment that offers a reprieve from everyday life stressors
Supporting a healthy scalp microbiome and circulation, both important for overall hair vitality
Mitigating and coping with hair loss
Balancing an oily or combination scalp
Maintaining skin moisture for a or dehydrated scalp
Clearing scalp congestion or product buildup
Managing flaking related to dryness
Calming scalp tension or sensitivity
Soothing stress-related scalp discomfort
Each session includes a visual scalp assessment and is customized based on what I observe and what you share during your visit.
No. Headspa services are not medical treatments and are not intended to diagnose or treat medical or dermatological conditions, including psoriasis or eczema.
If you have a diagnosed scalp or skin condition, are under medical care, or have circumstances that warrant concerns about whether a headspa is right for you, please consult with your healthcare provider before booking.
You are always welcome to reach out with questions prior to your appointment.
For the safety and comfort of all clients, headspa services are not offered to those experiencing active or contagious scalp conditions, including:
Lice or any other insect-borne illness
Ringworm and other fungal or bacterial infections
If you have open wounds, active infections, or severe scalp irritation, it’s best to wait until the scalp has fully healed before booking.
Your safety and comfort are always my priority. If you have a history of seizures, strokes, or neurological conditions, please consult with your healthcare provider before booking a headspa session. While headspa treatments are deeply relaxing, certain elements like scalp massage, warm steam, aromatherapy, and gentle pressure points may not be suitable for everyone. If you’re unsure whether a headspa is right for you, feel free to reach out before scheduling and I’ll do my best to address your concerns.
Each headspa session includes a visual scalp assessment to better understand your scalp’s condition and current needs. By leveraging magnification and video technology, I can get an accurate picture of your scalp’s condition: calm, oily, dry, irritated, or somewhere in between. This assessment helps guide product selection and treatment flow. It is not a medical diagnosis. If I observe signs that may require medical evaluation, I will always recommend consulting a licensed healthcare provider.
Please note any sensitivities in your booking notes or let me know at the start of your session. Treatments can often be adjusted to support your comfort and preferences.
My work is rooted in ongoing education in scalp care, focusing on the holistic connection between scalp health and hair vitality. While not a board-certified trichologist, I support my clients through non-invasive therapies and natural, root-cause strategies rather than medical diagnosis. I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
