About Me

Hi, I’m Danielle, a holistic beauty therapist and crown worker based in the Westchester neighborhood of Los Angeles. My work is rooted in the belief that beauty goes far beyond the surface: It’s deeply connected to how we feel in our bodies, our nervous systems, and our sense of self. What began as traditional salon work has consciously evolved into something more intentional, slower, and holistic: for a one-client-at-a-time space where headspa rituals, intuitive haircuts, and gentle energy work come together to support both inner and outer renewal for people ready to take the time to center themselves. I left my home state of Connecticut for California in 2012. After 10 years of working as a hairstylist in salons, I felt I didn’t really fit into the typical mold of a hairstylist and that there was something missing from the traditional approach. I wanted to offer more to my clients. In 2014 I started my own business, which has since evolved into Crown Rooted Beauty: a private holistic hair and wellness studio designed for those who crave relaxation, self-care, and a moment to truly and fully exhale. My studio is located in Westchester, Los Angeles, and I work with clients who travel from surrounding areas, including Playa Vista, El Segundo, West LA, Culver City, Manhattan Beach, Redondo and Hermosa Beach and Marina del Rey. Many clients choose to make the drive for a  uniquely calming and personal headspas and holistic hair care that supports both beauty and nervous system health. Experience that invitation to slow down and return to yourself.  Since becoming a cosmetologist in 2005, I have shaped my practice into a more intuitive, nature-rooted approach that blends continual education in and practice of herbal trichology, Ayurvedic scalp and facial massage techniques, headspa treatments, haircuts, and gentle energy work to support deep calm, nervous system balance, and reconnection to self. I no longer offer traditional hair services and instead choose to focus on caring for the health of your crown and supporting your natural texture and vitality through custom herbal hair treatments. When you step into my studio, my intention is for you to feel safe enough to soften — even if it’s just for an hour — and to leave feeling lighter, more connected to yourself, and gently renewed, with hair and skin that reflect that inner calm. And if energy work isn’t your thing, that’s completely okay. My sessions are always grounded, respectful, and guided by your comfort. Whether you’re here simply to relax with a headspa treatment, energy work, or haircut or go a little deeper into rest and reconnection, you’re welcome here exactly as you are. Outside the studio, I’m a full-time mama to my daughter, Arielle Sage, who we welcomed in October 2024 after years of waiting for our little wildflower! Before I became Arielle’s mom, I was a fur mama, and I feel that my fur babies helped shape the mom I am today. Our home is now filled with furry love and little feet running around and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Though we lost our sweet silky terrier, Tonya, in early 2023, her gentle spirit continues to be part of our family.
